Our Role
Speech-Language Pathologists are able to treat secondary complications that may arise in individuals diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Individuals diagnosed with osteosarcoma may develop swallowing difficulties due to mouth sores that arise as a side effect of chemo therapy and radiation. A speech-language pathologist has an integral role in assuring that patients will attain adequate nutrition, hydration, and prevent further feeding and swallowing difficulties.
